Membership dues are $15 a year, $10 stays in SC and $5 goes to national.

 

August minutes accepted and seconded.

Treasurer’s report:

Current balance: $403.39

Financial Report: accepted and seconded.

Next meeting: October 22, at 7.

Tammy Wallace from SCATP, speak to the group about the loan program.

Fundraiser Updates:

 

Tastefully Simple fundraiser: total is $77.93

October 1, speaking to Boy Scouts.
New Lion’s Club in Taylors. Jennifer speaking October 10.

Nancy:
going to talk to Girl Scouts

Ryan:
handed out copies of the flyer, contacted the local news station about PCB.

If you’re going to be at an event:
Be sure to take photos where possible. Fronts of people isn’t necessary, backs of heads is fine.

found measuring cups at Pop Shelf, the printed numbers on them were raised

bump dots, cabinet bumpers work well as bump dots. Designed to stick to cabinets and are very sticky.

Liquid level indicator, high contrast cutting boards, high contrast or talking timers

cutting board white on one side and black on the other.

slow down with cutting. Uses a food processor with a knob when needing to cut things finely

Silicone guards that you put on your fingers, hold the item between your fingers
Cutting gloves

Safety around hot items:
Long mits that go up your arms
Oven rack guards
Oven rack puller
Boiling indicator
Pot with locking lid
Regular pot pouring into strainer, be sure to pour away from you.

Bacon:
Put in the oven
Cook in the microwave

Amanda:
Indoor grill
Elite Indoor Grill, electric, has knobs
